According to a press statement, President Johnson Toribiong will address the first meeting of governors.The meeting is to update the state governments of the ministry’s relationship with the states, its functions and responsibilities and service available to assist the states with their respective projects and development.It added that the The statement added that the bureaus and agencies within the ministry of state will make presentations at this meeting on their respective duties and services available to the states.Another goal of the meeting was to assist the states in developing project plans with which the ministry may be available to seek foreign grants and assistance to carry out the projects.This will be the first meeting between the ministry and state governments, adding that it is expected that more meetings of this kind will be held in the future.The meeting is organized by the Bureau of Domestic Affairs.
