Ngatpang aging citizens were treated to a sumptuous luncheon and lavish entertainment at their own home state. Delegate Nabeyama says that he could clearly see joy in the faces of many of the mechas (old ladies) of Ngatpang during the event that he has not seen them this happy in a long time. ‘Our aging people truly need and deserve this special attention to them every year and to have this law that designates a day every year for them is such a great idea.’
Delegate Jerry Nabeyama, who chairs the appropriate HOD Committee on Cultural, Youth & Social Affairs, says that many of them probably had sore feet after they enjoyed the live band entertainment so much that they all danced until late afternoon on Tuesday.Nabeyama and the people of Ngatpang wish to thank HOD Vice Speaker Alexander Merep, Senators Surangel Whipps Jr. and Alfonso Diaz for their donations. Others who contributed to the success of the event are Ngatpang Acting Governor Takemura Erungel and Speaker Siles Ngiraremiang.
