Ngirameong back from terrorism training in Hawaii

Ngirameong said there’s 37 countries from Asia Pacific that participated in the seminar. Among the participants were Palau, Philippines, Iran and Iraq.The training prepares them to deal with any terrorism activities.Ngirameong said he learned a lot from the said training.“We were taught how to handle terrorism incidents, we learned different strategies and although there’s no terrorism here in Palau it’s a good preparation for us in terms of planning and law enforcements,”Ngirameong said in an interview yesterday.“We can apply those strategies and information that we learned to our local crimes here, so it was a good training,”he said.Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon left on Monday to participate in the Asia Pacific Seminar for Security Studies, also in Hawaii.Aguon will be gone for six weeks.
