On March 7, 2023, Northern Marianas College President Galvin Deleon Guerrero, EdD, and the college leadership team hosted a meeting with the House Committee on Education to discuss ways to enhance NMC’s programs and services for students and the community through legislative solutions. Led by Chairman Manny Gregory T. Castro, alongside committee members Rep. Blas Jonathan “BJ” T. Attao, Rep. John Paul P. Sablan, and Rep. Edwin K. Propst, the House Education Committee gained insights into the college’s existing programs, its financial picture, and plans to rebuild and upgrade its main campus through its facilities master plan. NMC will continue to work closely with the Legislature on public policies that will strengthen the college’s ability to build the CNMI’s intellectual capital, grow and develop the islands’ workforce, and help students land meaningful careers in the future.
