No injuries from Chalan Pago fire

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — There were no injuries reported after a fire on New Year’s Day in Chalan Pago.

On Monday, a video circulating on social media showed clouds of smoke coming from a structure behind MJ Mart off Route 4 in Chalan Pago.

Guam Fire Department acting spokesperson Kevin Reilly said units responded to the fire at an “abandoned, semiconcrete structure” which was fully engulfed upon arrival at 1 p.m.

Reilly added the fire was extinguished in less than an hour and no injuries were reported.
