PPL Librarian Mary Ariuz said they have 21 applicants covering both Palauans and foreigners. This is the latest number starting from January 5 to last week
She believes that the number will increase since this is a continuing registration for those interested to have a free library card.
“Those who have library card, they have the opportunity to borrow books and return it after 10 days, Ariuz said.
The PPL has more than 11,000 different books and this is funded by the Ministry of Education.
PPL has two computers available for internet.
Lost or replacement of the card will be $5 for adults and $3 for minors (14 years below). For tourists and non resident workers, securing a library card cost $10 has a validity of up to three months.
