The bulk of the grants are given to the Ministry of Health and the biggest grant was given to the Family Planning Program in the amount of $161,565.
The grant will provide fund to help reduce maternal and infant mortality and to promote the health of mother, families and children.Grants were also provided to the early childhood comprehensive system program in the amount of $105,000 ; public health bioterrorism, $67,740; pandemic influenza preparedness, $47,059; real-time disease detection, $19,410; Palau early hearing program , $150,000; sustainable economic development, $10,000; building of a community health center, $500,000 and statewide assessment and resource funding in the amount of $25,000.A grant of $48,000 was also received by the Executive Branch to provide fund for the Office of the Special Prosecutor to send its investigators to attend training.The Work Investment Youth program also received a grant of $75,000.The Tuberculosis Program has a grant of $12,490 and $6,000 for the Cycad Aulacaspis Scale grant for its biological control.
