Remengesau now senator elect

Remengesau ranked 11 in the top 13 senatorial race in which write-in candidate Surangel Whipps Jr. ranked as number one.

The President got total votes of 3,772. He made a history being the first Palauan President to run for lower position after his term and being the first Palauan President to be elected in the lower position after his term.

Whipps who also made history being the first Palauan write-in candidate that made in the Senate race garnered 64.26 percent or total votes of 6,709.

He garnered more votes than the presidential candidates and consistently ranked number one even without absentee and off-island votes.

Ranked second to Whipps is Raynold “Arnold” Oilouch with 6,392 followed by Mlib Tmetuchl with 5, 646; Joel Toribiong 5,403; Kathy Kesolei 5,240; Mark U. Rudimch 5, 106; Hokkons Baules 4, 634; Adalbert Eledui 4, 128; Regina K. Mesebeluu 3, 938; Alfonso Diaz 3, 809; Tommy Remengesau Jr. 3, 772; Regis Akitaya 3, 319 and Paul Ueki 3, 211.

Ranking 14th to 20 are Yukiwo Dengokl with 3, 141; Caleb Otto 3, 080; Temmy Shmull 3, 059; John B. Skebong 3, 023; Adair Sumang 3, 020; Masa-Aki N. Emisiochel 2, 844 and Steven Kanai with 2, 827 votes
