Isechal told reporters that the Army Corp. of Engineer (ACOE) are assessing the road defects and that repairs can happen after the warranty period.Earlier Isechal identified defects to pavement settlements or depressions located at Package B, just south of Bridge 2 at approximate Sta. 23+00 ; Package B, just north of Bridge 5 at approximate Sta. 36+ 00 ; Package C just north of Ngerkemeskang Bridge at approximate Sta 32+ 420 and Package C Soft Soil Area at approximate Sta. 30+ 800 to 31 + 200.He said these defects should be addressed within the warranty period because the defects came out only six months after the road was officially turned over to Palau.These were the result of inadequate and inappropriate construction.Isechal said a temporary fix has been made on the road depression located in Ngiwal.The road failure is being monitored to ensure that the temporary fix is enough to address the problem.
