Six schools participated in the PRR’s Christmas Tree contest

The contest was launched on November 10 and the deadline for the submissions of entries was set on November 30.

The entries are now displayed at the lobby of the PRR.The contest was opened for all Elementary students and was divided into two categories, the five-eight years-old category and the 9-12 years-old category.The height of the Christmas Tree was set according to the age category. For the first category or the five to eight category, participants are required to make one foot or 30-45 cm long Christmas Tree while two feet high or 45-60cm for the second category.Winners will be announced in the newspaper on December 12 and awarding of prizes will be on December 13, 2008 coinciding with the PRR’s Christmas Tree Lighting event.First prize winner will get Complimentary Room certificate for two persons with breakfast, certificate of appreciation and PRR t-shirt while second placer will get complimentary buffet dinner for two persons, certificate of appreciation and PRR t-shirt.Third place winner will get afternoon tea, sweetness shared by two persons, certificate of appreciation and PRR t-shirt.PRR will also give consolation prizes.Winning entries will be judged for over all impact which is 50 percent, creativity 20 percent, material use 10 percent, presentation 10 percent and originality 10 percent.
