HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — A man who was leaving a store in Maite allegedly was assaulted by RK Mark Luke, according to court documents filed Saturday with the Superior Court of Guam.
The man identified as the victim in the complaint indicated that as he was leaving the store, Luke approached him with clinched fists and said, “What’s up?”
“The victim ignored the defendant and continued walking home to the apartments. The defendant then ran toward the victim and attempted to punch the (victim) with a right hook. The victim was able to dodge the attack. The victim then ran home and locked his door,” the complaint states.
Luke allegedly persisted and followed the victim to his home.
“As the defendant approached the living room window, the victim observed the glass shatter. The victim felt pieces of glass in his eyes, causing him pain. The (defendant) then uttered the words, ‘Snitch.’ Another resident of the house … became fearful and called (the) police,” the complaint states.
Officers with the Guam Police Department, who responded to the call, reported that the living room window was shattered and glass was inside and outside the home.
“Officers could not determine what the defendant used to shatter the glass,” the complaint said.
Luke was charged with assault and criminal mischief, both as misdemeanors.
Luke was confined at the Department of Corrections on $1,000 cash bail.
A police cruiser is parked in front of the Guam Police Department Central Precinct on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, in Sinajana.
