Woman tells police man abused her for 6 years

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — Staff from a dental clinic in Harmon came to the aid of a woman who was in fear of her boyfriend on Friday.

A complaint filed in the Superior Court of Guam said that the staff had called the Guam Police Department after the woman “cried and alerted the clinic staff.”

Officers who met with the woman said she reported that Mickey Katsuta, her boyfriend, “had threatened to beat her up again while in the waiting room of the clinic.”

The woman told police Katsuta had abused her for six years.

“The victim believed that the defendant would assault her after the appointment if she (had) not (called) police. The victim indicated that she believes the abuse (was) a result of the defendant doing the drug ice,” the complaint said.

According to police, Katsuta allegedly admitted that he told the victim, “When you’re done with your appointment, I am going to (explicit) you up.”

Officers said Katsuta questioned why he was arrested, “when I didn’t do anything to her yet?”

The complaint stated that Katsuta has an active case against him involving nine counts of criminal mischief, drug possession and public drunkenness.

This new case charged him with two counts of family violence, both misdemeanors.

Katsuta was confined to the Department of Corrections with bail set at $1,000.
