(Press Release) — On July 26, 2022, the 18th Tinian Municipal Council unanimously adopted three resolutions recognizing and congratulating, on behalf of the people of Tinian, three residents of Tinian for acquiring their doctorate degrees. Doctor Regina C. Palacios in Education Curriculum and Instruction, Doctor Conrad M. Kiyoshi in Biomedical Science Philosophy and Doctor Raena P. Cing-Cabrera in Teacher Leadership Education.
Tinian Municipal Council Chairman Joseph E. Santos expressed his pride in seeing these kinds of success in individual endeavors despite the challenges they faced and council members Thomasa P. and Juanita M. Mendiola were both exceptionally proud that two of the recipients are women.
Peter Palacios Sr. and Doctor Regina Palacios’ youngest son, Brandon P. Rosa, received the plaque on behalf of his daughter Doctor Regina Cruz Palacios. Peter Palacios Jr. received the plaque on behalf of Doctor Conrad M. Kiyoshi. Doctor Palacios was off-island and Doctor Kiyoshi was in the middle of finals for Tinian’s NMC students. Doctor Raena P. Cing-Cabrera was joined by her mother, Percy P. Cing, mother-in-law, Joan R. Cabrera, husband, Juan Vicente R. Cabrera and other family members.
