Toribiong said that the committee will be working with Remengesau’s administration on issues of finance, budget, personnel and related matters.
“I will work with Remengesau as much as I can to make it as smooth and orderly as possible,” Toribiong said.
Toribiong and running mate Delegate Kerai Mariur won the recent Palau general election against current Vice President Elias Camsek Chin and running mate Sen. Alan Seid.
President Remengesau on the other hand will be contacting Toribiong to ensure that his administration is ready to work with his camp for a smooth transition.
Remengesau said he will meet with his ministers to make sure that they are prepared to brief the president-elect on the matter.
He said that all the ministers are ready with the documents and are updated in their reports that it will be a smooth take over from Remengesau to Toribiong.
Toribiong said that he feel relieved after the election is over he said now is the time to focus on running the government.
On Wednesday night, Toribiong met with the Palau Council of Traditional leaders and last night he met with the Governor’s Association.
“My aim is to unify Palau,” Toribiong said.
Toribiong ran in 1992 against former President Kuniwo Nakamura, he lost the election.
