In a letter to Horizon, Theodoro Borja, the school’s principal, stated that Yano’s donation is indicative of her sincerity to support education.
In addition to the fans, Yano also was able to provide lunch meals for 250 students as well.“Her contribution to our school is well appreciated and we are very delighted for her sincerity,” Borja stated. “We thank [her] for her kind support to our school and we hope that her relationship with us will continue to prosper in the many years to come.”Borja further stated in his letter that he, the school’s staff, and the students extend their warmest gratitude to Yano in recognition of her noble character.Yano and her family are known to have made similar generous contributions to varying organizations and institutions. Moreover, she and her family have not only made contributions, they have also volunteered their time and effort to promote activities and fundraisings that enhance the welfare of the people living in Palau; and on the same token, are often at the frontlines of the local humanitarian efforts.
