Marianas included in: Department of Defense STARBASE program, the Lead Small Business Development Center grant program, the Federal and State Technology grant program, and the AMBER Alert grant program. Pays for college credit exams for military spouses.
• PL 116-315 – Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act. Increased operation and maintenance funding available for the Marpi Veterans Cemetery.
• PL 117-2 – American Rescue Plan Act. Secured permanent federal funding for the Marianas Earned Income Tax Credit. Provided $489 million to the Commonwealth from the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund. Made the Marianas eligible for Pandemic EBT nutrition assistance and added $30 million dollars for the Marianas Nutrition Assistance Program. Provided funding for the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation to reduce water and sewer rates for low-income households. Funded emergency rental assistance and mortgage assistance for the Marianas.
