(NMA) — Interested individuals who are 30 years old and above are encouraged to register and begin training for the upcoming Oceania Masters Athletics (Track & Field) event being hosted by the CNMI in conjunction with the Northern Marianas Athletics — the governing body of athletics, cross country, and road races in the CNMI — and the Northern Marianas Sports Association.
Age divisions are separated into five-year spans, allowing you the opportunity to compete against your peers throughout Oceania and Southeast Asia!
Masters events are as follows:
60m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, Short Hurdles, Long Hurdles, Steeplechase, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Shot Put, Discus Throw, Hammer Throw, Javelin Throw, Weight Throw, 3000m Track Walk, 5000m Track Walk, Throws Pentathlon, Pentathlon, Heptathlon/Octathlon, 10km Road Walk, Cross Country, and Half Marathon

Currently, NMA is conducting national team practices at the track Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5-8 p.m. The facility is also open to all masters athletes on Mondays, 5-8 p.m.
Upon the completion of the McDonald’s All Schools Championship Series on May 6, NMA will continue conducting practices at the track on Saturdays, 7-9 a.m.
