Budweiser Belau softball games to resume Sunday

THE 2023 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball League will resume on Sunday, April 16 at the Dandan softball field. The games on the fifth day of the regular season set for April 9 were postponed to allow the players to celebrate Easter Sunday.

Brian Adelbai, adviser of the Belau Amateur Softball Association, said  the first game on April 16 starts at 10 a.m. and the last game, at 4 p.m.

This season, 11 teams are participating in the masters division and five in the ladies division.

The leading teams in the masters division as of April 2 were Hagu La’mun, Man Amigos and Tokahao, each with four wins and one loss.

Tokahao’s Eric David tops the latest pitching stats with a 2.00 ERA. He allowed 15 hits in seven innings with two earned runs.

For his part,  Wazzup’s Derrick Aguon led the batting list with 16 hits at 22 at-bats.

In the ladies division, the Lady Blue Jays remain undefeated with a 4-0 record.

The Lady Blue Eagles’ Kiana Camacho, who has two home runs so far, topped the batting record with 11 hits at 15 at-bats.
