DAS Krishnan shot a net score of 72 to win the Saipan Golf Association’s August Ace of the Month title on Sunday, Aug. 21, at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort east course.
Krishnan displayed consistency throughout the 18 holes, shooting a gross of 40 on the front nine and a gross of 42 on the back for a total gross score of 82. With a 10 handicap, his net score was 72.
A total of 12 players vied for the monthly title.
For the Closest to the Pin side event, Krishnan ruled on holes #4 and #6; Jung Eun Teack took hole #11; and Nick Sablan triumphed on hole #15.
For the Longest Drive side event, Rick Kautz topped hole #3 while Tony Benavente reigned on hole #18.
Krishnan now joins the other 2022 SGA Aces of the Month: Edward C. Sablan (January), Frances M. Sablan (February), Nick C. Sablan (March), Larry I. Deleon Guerrero (April), Alex Tudela (May), Mariano Fajardo (June) and Rick Kautz (July).
The 2022 SGA September Ace of the Month Tournament is set for Sept. 11, 2022, Sunday, at Coral Ocean Resort. Tee time is at 8:30 a.m. and show time is at 8 a.m.
