VFW IT&E Homeboyz bested Last Shot Eleven Tiger, 8-5, in the Thursday Division of the SBA Budweiser Open 8-Ball League on Thursday at the VFW Bar.
Homeboyz Cesar Sangalang, Jeff Garcia, Rogel Caruana and Nolan Cultura had an explosive start, sweeping the opening Singles 8-Ball game for a 4-0 lead.
Eleven Tiger pulled their own two-win sweep in the following Partners 8-Ball game, but the Homeboyz continued to deliver in the one-on-one scene with a 3-1 run in the second Singles 8-Ball game to solidify their advantage, 7-3.
Eleven Tiger continued to put up a fight with another two-win sweep in the second partners game, but the Homeboyz secured the win and added the icing on the cake after claiming the final Partners 8-Ball game for an 8-5 victory.

After splitting the first two games, Kabalen’s Robert Sanciangco, Juancho Mendoza and Jess Guerra stepped up in the second singles game with a 3-1 run to gain the upper hand, 6-4. They continued to ride the momentum by sweeping the next Partners 8-Ball game to secure an early win.
But Just Chillin’ went down with a fight, claiming the final Partners 8-Ball game to ease the pain of a 5-8 loss.
Joining the celebration were the 9 Eleven Rebels who trounced VFW No Regrets, 9-4, and the number one team, Bamboo Soudelor Construction, which deflated the 9 Eleven Crazy Ballers, 9-4.
