TASI to Table President Gene Weaver said the new date for the Student Mini Derby is Saturday, June 3.
A press release from the non-profit organization on April 28 stated that the possibility of inclement weather led to a cancelation of the derby’s original May 6 start date.
The Student Mini Derby is an annual fishing event for students who have been with the TTT program for two years.
TTT is still recruiting fishermen wishing to volunteer their boats, resources, and knowledge to make the Student Mini Derby possible.
Interested boat captains will be paid $25 per student they can safely accommodate on their boat.
