21 boats joined the derby, while hundreds signed up and enjoyed different events such as the morning walkathon, open – ocean swim, outrigger canoe, and volleyball tournament. The occasion that started 5 in the morning and ended late in the afternoon around 6 was graced by different nationalities of different ages that enjoyed with their families and friends. They were all treated with a heartily breakfast of fruits and drinks and winners were given t shirts and prizes from different sponsors of the event.
Lea Asanuma – Gillham and Jane Menz were the lucky victor of the raffle draw presented by event organizers as their names were picked as winners of the grand prize of a round trip ticket going to Guam or Philippines. Other raffle ticket winners were also drawn where many winners got different gift certificates from various restaurants and local stores on the island.
