3 JR’s handed CNMI Junior regional title

Three juniors—Poland Masaharu Jr., Henry Towai Jr, and Patrick Tenorio Jr., took the crucial roles during the decisive run of the seventh inning and handed CNMI the Juniors regional crown.

With CNMI enjoying the three-run advantage, (9-6) Guam’s Junior team rallied in the top of the seventh and tied the game. Howard Wolford, Jonaven Jerome Dela Cruz and Baltazar Hattori III drew walks before Kaleb Shane Jose-Cruz’s singled.

Wolford scored, while Dela Cruz and Hattori were in a scoring position. A hit by pitch on Nicholas Aaron Cruz sent Dela Cruz home and Kin Fernandez Jr’ fly out drove Hattori home.

CNMI needed a run-scoring base hit when the three JR’s went in for bats.

Masaharu Jr,, doubled and Towai Jr, drew a walk and Tenorio Jr.’s bat moved them to scoring positions.

It took Tenorio’s sacrifice to send Masaharu Jr. home in fielder’s choice to claim their 10-9 victory against Guam.

The CNMI rallied in the bottom of third inning with Jeremy Rabauliman hitting a two-run double, Tenorio Jr., one RBI; Francisco Camacho, one RBI and Christian Jyles Mizer, one RBI.
