Asahi, PIC eliminate Brotherhood, IT&E in Belau softball

Scoreless in three straight innings, Asahi rallied in the fourth with Jess Taitano leading off with a single.

With one out, Poland Yamada walked before he made it to the home plate on Kuich Damian’s three-run home run.

Perry Besong added a run-scoring single and the Asahi fielders protected the lead by holding Brotherhood scoreless in fourth straight innings.

Cliffton Siliil and Jess Taitano both singled in the fifth inning, then, Jordan Hayes knocked-in a run-scoring double.

Besong fired his third base hit and second RBI single and Asahi finished off Brotherhood, 9-3,

In the game against Peleliu earlier that day, Jordan Hayes fired a two-run home run.

However, Asahi fell short of tying the game as Peleliu’s Isaiah Masaho tripled and scored the winning run.

Payton Sakuma had an RBI double in the first inning and two RBI triple to help Peleliu leading Peleliu to 6-5 victory over Asahi.

PIC 11, IT&E 4

Masatoshi Otsuka drove-in a run with a single inning for his second base hit as and Mike Saures drove-in two runs with a double as PIC rallied in the fourth leading to their 11-4 victory over IT&E.

Ruben Olkeriil doubled, Chuji Rios hit a one-run single and Emil Pedernal had two RBI single and PIC had a nine-run fourth inning to beat IT&E.

Reap It beat IT& in the morning game, 6-4, with Tyron Omar driving-in two with single, Gloyd Martin and Leo Bobai hitting a one-run single apiece in the four-run second inning.

TKK2 defeated PIC in a shutout game, with Joey Dela Cruz and Toi Celis rocketing run-scoring home runs.

Dela Cruz’s HR drove-in three runs while Celis sent two base runners home.
