To continue the celebration of our island’s sovereignty and as part of its traditions, the Palau Boat Racing Association calls all interested individuals who would like to join the competition. The Race will be held at the Japan-Palau Friendship Bridge on Friday, 2nd October 2009 and that all who would like to register are welcome to proceed at Palau National Olympic Committee Office and look for Bonnie anytime between now and the day of the race. Registration fee are pegged at $50.00 for Categories 1 – 6 while $100 are to be paid if you want to sign up for category 7 – 15.
The boat competition are divided into 15 categories such as the Twin 200hp and up placed at category 11, Super Hero + 300hp V- Bottom for category 12,, Open (V4 & V6) category 10, 225 – 250hp category 11 to name a few.All races are to award top three finishers on their respective class with cash prizes where in the contest will kick off at exactly 12 noon.
