HARDT Eye Clinic is at the top of the team standings in the Ali’i Madflex Sports Summer Youth Basketball Tournament 2024 with four wins and no losses after recording back-to-back wins over the weekend.

Hardt Eye Clinic bagged their third win by beating JTM Corp, 59-55, on Friday.

Letrell Pelisamen was the player of the game with 8 points, 13 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists, and 9 blocks.

It was a tough match as both teams played as equals throughout the game. What gave Hardt Eye the edge was their key players — Jezpher Navarro, Christian Lucero, and Letrell Pelisamen — who outscored JTM Corp to slip away with the win.

On Saturday, Hardt Eye Clinic gained a slight lead in the first half and held onto it to defeat Win Pacific Corp, 61-54.

The first half was highlighted by several shot exchanges. Jezpher Navarro Hardt found his rhythm early in the first quarter as he led the offense with seven consecutive points, including a triple.

On the other end, Win Pacific’s Louis Rectitud stood at the frontline with six straight points. He was supported by teammates Alano Webb and Jerik Javier who contributed from the free-throw line as their team trailed by just one possession, 12-14.

In the second canto, Hardt Eye established control of the pace.

Defensively, they successfully shut down Rectitud as he was allowed only one bucket. Although Alano and Javier were able to fill the void for Win Pacific, they lacked the firepower and consistency. Each missed shot turned into a transition bucket on the other end with Navarro still at the helm, contributing six more points to further stretch the deficit, 28-21.

Rectitud was nowhere to be seen throughout the second half of the game. Alano remained vigilant as he took over the role alongside Jerico Manuel and Bernard Sabino. But despite their efforts, Hardt Eye continued to fire at will with Lucas Esdrelon making his presence known from underneath the board with five rebounds and scoring five of his seven points in the fourth quarter to aid his team to victory, 61-54.

Esdrelon was the player of the game with 7 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists, and 2 blocks.
