Designated hitter John Taitano hit the Brewers’ first triple in the bottom of the sixth, driving Asap Wabol and Vince Cepeda in for two RBI. Kelvin Kapileo and Byron Kaipat delivered run-scoring triples for two more runs. Mike Pangelinan, hit by a pitch from Masters’ Greg Camacho, lifted the team, 9-5.
The Masters took a two-run lead in the first inning on Jess Mesa’s two-run triple and Camacho’s RBI single. Their 6-4-3 double play in the bottom of the third left the Brewers a two-run deficit. Camacho struck out five to slow the Brewers down.
Wabol advanced on a walk before scoring his team’s last run of the night.
A series of fly balls easily took the Masters out in the eighth and ninth innings.
Taitano, Kapileo, and Wabol scored two runs apiece. Mike Taitano, Kaipat, Mike Pangelinan, and Cepeda added one each.
