Bud Light, Hogaarden prevail in Budweiser caging

With Elmer Esdrelon firing five markers in the third quarter, Hoegaarden rallied quarter to take the lead and did not trail anymore towards the fourth quarter for their 64-57 win.

Tony Diaz scored 13 of his 14 points, while Gyles Ruluked added six to help Beck’s keep the lead towards the end of the first half.

Despite Ruluked continued scoring surge in the third, Hoegaarden caught up with Edzel Mendoza, Junar Guiab and Kirk Schuler contributing four points apiece.

Mendoza and Aquino made their two free throws and Esdrelon added three more points and despite Kelvin Fitial’s pair of three-pointers, Hoegaarden kept the gap open towards the final buzzer.

Diaz led Beck’s scoring squad hitting 14 baskets.

Bud Light 84, Bud Ice 65

Pete Iguel scored 17 to lead the Bud Light Nationals pound the Bud Ice Rollers, 84-65.

Both teams pressed against each other putting up full-court defense right from the very beginning that brought out a neck-to-neck game.

The Nationals edged the Rollers with Jack Lizama and Iguel controlling the offense in the first quarter.

They kept the lead in the second quarter as Robert Naraja surged to seven points and Keoni Chariton chipping in four points.

Gus Palacios led the National’s smothering defense grabbing most of the steals as he and Jose Tumaquip held the Roller back with a back court defense.

With Eli Aughenbaugh and Leo Galarse leading the scoring spree, the Rollers somehow stunned the Nationals with their speed. Only some miscommunications that led to turnovers gave the Rollers’ away and the Nationals went onto their blow out win.
