Castro tallied 797 pinfalls in the men’s division while Taitano — who won seventh place in August — garnered 718 in the women’s division.
Taitano averaged 179.5 pins per game and was the only female bowler to pass the 700-mark. Second ranked Yho Villavicencio, a first runner-up in September, trailed the champion with 667. Diane Chong won third place at 646 pinfalls with a 161.5 average.
October, July, and March queen of the lanes Gloria Omechelang dropped to fifth place this month, piling only 627 pinfalls while Myrna Santos ranked fourth at 640.
Taitano reached her peak in game four, scoring 190. She posted 179, 167, and 182 pinfalls in games one to three.
Castro notched a game high 236 pinfalls in his fourth game last Monday to average 199.25. Men’s second place finisher Roger De Guzman wasn’t far behind with a 768 total. Paul Pangelinan fell behind both bowlers at 705 pinfalls, followed by Raymond Angeles (700) and October champion Simon Manacop (693).
Castro earned 162, 164, and 235 pinfalls in his first three games to claim the monthly title this weekend. He drew seventh place last month, knocking 719 pins.
Villavicencio recorded 173, 153, 168, and 173 to average 166.5 pinfalls per game while Chong scored 145, 134, 165, and 202 for a 161.5 average.
De Guzman posted 189, 210, 197, and 172 pinfalls in games one through four. Pangelinan mustered 168, 166, 186, and 185 to fend off Angeles from the men’s top three.
Both Castro and Taitano now join this year’s list of monthly winners, which includes Omechelang, Manacop, Elena Soll, Angeles, Ron Cal, Robert Talavera, Diane Camacho, Sto. Domingo, Jonathan Eparwa, Villavicencio, and Raymond Zapanta.
Taisacan is new prince of the lanes

Taiscan, who had 615 overall, scored 140, 149, 155, and 171 in games one through four and averaged 153.75 pinfalls per game.

Nikko Gutierrez rallied to third place with 547 pinfalls and a 136.75 average.
