BLACK 8 Darty Gentz overtook the second-place seat on the leaderboard of the 2025 SEDA Bud Light Dart League Kingfisher C Division on Wednesday night after holding down the fort against The Hut North Side Darterz, 8–7, at The Hut.

Early in the match, the North Side Darterz appeared in control, dominating the individual matchups by sweeping all four games of the opening 301 Double In/Double Out set. Jayart Palmes led the charge with a 20.07 PPD, giving them a 4-0 lead.

However, the tables quickly turned as Darty Gentz rallied with teamwork.

The comeback began in the Partners Crazy Cricket set, where Fermin Dela Cruz and Anthony Aldan, along with Shawn Taitingfong and Patrick Kapileo, swept both games. Riding that momentum into the Partners 501 set, they earned another 2-0 sweep to level the match at 4–4.

Though the North Side Darterz remained a threat in the individual round — with Palmes and Donnie Fejeran each winning a match — Dela Cruz and Taitingfong responded with wins of their own, keeping the score tied at 6–6.

Fortunately for Darty Gentz, they remained dominant in pairs. Austin Dela Cruz joined the fray in the Partners Half-It set, teaming up to win both games and secure their third sweep of the night, pulling ahead 8-6.

Although the North Side Darterz managed to bag the final Team 1101 match, they came up just short and were forced to bow to Darty Gentz, 8-7.

Black 8 Darty Gentz now hold a win-loss record of 75-60, while The Hut North Side Darterz trail closely in third place with a 74-61 record.
