DCCA in 18-game streak, Legislature pounds POI

Julian Camacho, Joey Dela Cruz and Mel Sakisat lambasted DLNR with home runs while DCCA fielders kept their opponents scoreless in four straight innings to secure the lead.

Camacho rocketed a three-run homer in the third inning and a two-run homer in the second for his five RBIs.

Dela Cruz hit a solo home run in the top of the first then, drove-in a run with another homer in the second for his three RBIs.

Sakisat also drove-in three runs with his homer in the first, and James Fleming sent home two base runners with single hits in the first and third innings.

Jun Saralu, Derron Flores and Jonathan Tenorio added one RBI each.

CUC 10, Hopwood 0

Mel Tudela drove-in two runs with a double hit to help Commonwealth Utilities Corp. establish the lead in the first inning as they turned their ire at Hopwood in a shut-out game after losing last Tuesday’s game to Commonwealth Ports Authority.

Tudela also sent a runner home with single hit before he scored one of the final runs to finish off Hopwood, 10-0.

Jeff Cabrera, Ton Guerrero, Benigno Sablan, Tyrone Kileleman and Roy Laniyo had one RBI each.

Legislature 20, POI 5

Fonze Tarope hit two run-scoring home runs and Mitch Aaron stunned Pacific Oriental Inc., with grand slam as they led Legislature the winning rally.

Maurice Omengkar and the rest of the POI fielders held Legislature scoreless in three straight innings until Ben Camacho scored the first run from Sanchez’ single hit.

Tarope and Dave Apatang’s homer in the sixth inning paved the way for Legislature to come from behind before they rampaged in the final inning and finished the game, 20-5.
