GCA — nearly losing its fragile two-point lead in the final quarter — held strong and came out on top at 78-65.
Saipan International School piled 14 points in the first period as Richard Wang and Vince He tallied six and four points, respectively.
Jeon, Brandon Chargualaf, and Angelo Salas led the Eagles’ main offensive from start to finish.
Like their previous game at the SIS court, Wang top scored again at 28 points. Vince He added 22, Borja scored four, and Harrison Smith totaled three. Wang shot two of his six free throw attempts.
Jeon earned 26 overall, scoring 13 in each half. Salas — scoring 13 — suffered from leg cramps and was unable to complete the last five minutes.
Constant fouls from SIS gave Jeon the chance to shoot three of his eight free throws in the fourth period.
The Eagles also prevailed at the Geckos’ home court during their encounter last month. This will count as both teams’ final regular season game. The Coalition of Private Schools Sports Association will start its boys and girls varsity playoffs tomorrow.

Lady Geckos fight back, down Eagles
The Lady Eagles faced an opposite outcome after losing, 54-38 to Zoe Jewell, Amber Roberts, and the rest of Saipan International School.
A well-balanced offensive was exactly what the Geckos needed to win. Both Jewell and Roberts scored 15 points each.
Grace Christian Academy’s Kristen Pangelinan piled 21 points and dominated in offensive rebounds. Other than her however, only Jazmin Rayphand and Leona Pangelinan picked up the slack with 15 and 2 points, respectively.
Rayphand’s baskets were easily returned by Roberts, who scored 11 in the third quarter.
The Geckos broke their 11-11 tie in the second quarter and pulled away at 29-20. Their 16-point lead in the second half was too much for the Eagles too handle. Celine Camacho totaled 10 points while Jeane Bracken and Seo Hee Kim squeezed in four apiece.
