The 86-71 win swelled Easy Does It’s confidence about the first Masters Basketball League championship game against the undefeated IT&E, that is set for Saturday at 1 p.m.
IT&E narrowly slipped through the finals during an over time against Konflikt.
Easy Does It took the lead as Pangelinan went into shooting spree firing four consecutive two-pointers in the first quarter.
He kept the scoring surge in the second quarter sizzling with nine points including a three-pointer that helped stretch their lead to 13 points.
With Diego Masga scattering 14 points in the court during the third quarter and Leo Factor investing in free throw shots, the Brabu Bulls were on their way to take the lead in the third quarter.
Richard Bostrom and Ted Parker helped establish a stone wall defense as the Brabu Bulls pressed against Easy Does It towards the end of this period and they were able to cut the lead to thee points.
Oscar Sablan who hibernated in the third quarter came back action in the fourth and poured eight points while Dave Demapan kept contributing two-pointers to widen the gap again.
Missed shots and passing errors gave away Brabu Bull’s chance to tie the ball game in the middle of the fourth quarter, and Easy Does It inched their way up with Sablan’s collecting fouls and sinking five penalty shots to secure their victory.
