Esdrelon lifts IT&E past Docomo, 77-75

Since IT&E ended the third quarter with only one point advantage, Docomo’s Kelvin Fitial did not have a hard time tying the game with two consecutive hits.

Then, Villacrusis blasted from behind the arc to take the lead which Wowee Abuel widened with his two-pointers.

Darwin Barbo helped IT&E keep pace with Docomo by firing two straight two-pointers before Esdrelon released the bomb that agitated the Docomo defenders driving them to commit a series of fouls, the first one sent Joemar Tumaquip to free throw line and the final one a technical called against Andres Estolas with six seconds remaining.

Esdrelon completed the two penalty shots handing IT&E a two-point lead and left Docomo a very slim chance to recover.

Esdrelon led IT&E with 25 points and Darwin Barbo added 19 points for IT&E’s 77-75 victory.

Villacrusis scored 21 points and Kae Bernardo had 18 points for Docomo.
