Fish N Fins conquers Business Division

After an awesome scoring rampage on the fourth quarter and a three point conversion game equalizer, 57 – 57, by Ryu at the buzzer to extend game to overtime, team PRR – Royals could not carry on with their momentum at the extra period of which the basketball cagers from Fish N Fins took advantage of.

From there Fish N Fins player top scorer Clint, who finished the match with 27 markers, labored his way to help his team get a five point early lead at the start of the extension period from which his other team mates followed his lead to score three more points to push back their opponent, PRR, farther away from winning the match.

Although they were able to slice down the lead to just three points, 64 – 61 with seconds remaining on the game clock, PRR was not able to score and slice the lead once more on a perfect steal from a half court trap they put up on their defensive end. Royals trying to find their way out to win the game, attempted three point shots but was not successful as the defensive stance of their opponent was too much for them to break.

In the end Fish N Fins hold on to their two points, 65 – 63, lead until the final buzzer sounded on their opponent and eventually seized this year’s Business Division Crown.

Galaxy team went strong against team Surangel to be awarded third place and the latter with fourth spot at a game opener played before the Division Title match.

Meantime after the division title game, the fight for the right to be named as 2009 Season Champs continues as both divisions where 10 high ranking teams from business and government have begun their quest that started Wednesday, October 28.
