Freemansory caging moved to July 11

Malasarte who will be the leagues’ committee chairman assured in an email that all is set for the league’s kick off on July 11 at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym.

Malasarte said the league was postponed for a couple of weeks because the uniforms of the participating teams were still not available.

“We want to start this basketball league on the right foot and that was the reason why we decided to just push the opening two more weeks to give participating teams time to get their uniforms,” he said.

Malasarte scheduled a final meeting with team coaches, managers and any representatives to prepare for the parade, where the participating teams are expected top have complete uniforms.

The meeting will be on Friday, July 2, at 6 p.m. at the J’s Restaurant along Middle Road in Gualo Rai.

Malasarte noted it is very important for a representative from each participating team to attend the meeting since the final preparations for Sunday’s opening would be discussed.

He also reminded participating teams to submit their final team rosters, final design and name of team sponsor and the entrance fee as soon as possible.

“Also, we will distribute the free uniforms to all participating teams,” Malasarte added.
