Pando Mulleta, Pilcowa’s sports committee chairman said in an interview yesterday that the association’s board has finalized the plan during the meeting on Monday.
The Pilcowa Inter-color Basketball Tournament, Mulleta explained is to promote sportsmanship and camaraderie not only among members of their organization but also of the NMI community as well.
Other organizations both local and non-residents are welcome to participate in the tournament, he said.
The basketball games will be held at the Century Insurance Center’s Basketball Court in Garapan.
The initial date for the opening will be on Sept. 28 and the entry fee will be $500 per team.
Pilcowa is calling on all interested coaches and managers to join and submit their rosters.
Mulleta said they are also urging business to sponsor the tournament and the teams.
