Hard foul heats up game, Rollers beat Celtics in OT, 66-63

Both teams calmed down right away as table officials pacified them to move ahead with the over time that ended in favor of the Rollers B, 66-63.

Down by two points in the beginning of the second half, John Palacios and Law Deleon Guerrero launched the attack to close in.

The Rollers B carried out a smothering defense to slow down the Celtics whose Jeon Da Min and Tim Tagutchi bombarded them with three-pointers in the first half.

John Norita and Deleon Guerrero both sizzled with 11 points to keep pace with the Celtics.

In the last few minutes of the game, Norita connected a three-point play for a one point lead but R. Wang erased this right away when he picked up a foul and made the two penalty baskets.

Law Deleon Guerrero charged the basket furiously and picked up  a foul. He made one of the free throws to bring the one-point lead back.

With less than 50 seconds left, Tagutchi went for a lay up and got a foul. He also made one of his free throws to tie the ball game again.

The Celtics sealed their territory as the Rollers pushed their way in. Deleon Guerrero fired and missed. Less than 10 seconds left, he had the chance to go up for the basket but decided to bring the ball outside the three-point line where Kautz, coming from nowhere, collided with him.

Deleon Guerrero fell hard to the ground right in front of the Rollers bench—a scene that irked his team mates who tried to confront Kautz.

The short-lived commotion ended as table officials immediately pacified both teams and proceeded to play the extra five minutes.

Norita’s pair of two pointers pulled the Rollers away and win the game.
