Islander Rent-A-Car obtained the driver’s seat of the game from the start. Warren Villegas was able to bank 7 points for the team. Villegas banked a successful three pointer followed by a jump shot reinforcement whilst his teammate Jack Palacios was able to fend off 6 points.
Together the team was able to take hold of the lead and aviate themselves past the Old Aces by 8 points. By the end of the first quarter the scores were 28-20.
Both teams entered the second quarter ready to play some ball. Recardo Alejandro of the Old Aces bagged a whopping 14 point record throughout the second quarter in his attempt to close the made in the first quarter and to put his team up front.
Unfortunately, Islander Rent-A-Car’s Jesse Stoll bucketed two three pointer shots in the first 4 minutes of the game. His two three pointers were then followed by two jump shots and two lay ups from teammates Lilio Tiples and Dennis Pacheco.
By half time team Islander Rent-A-Car was able to hold on to its lead by 7 points, 50-43.
As the second half of the bout came along, both teams entered the court with renewed strength ready to play basketball. Islander Rent-A-Car never gave the Old Aces a chance to snatch the lead away from them.
They moved on to win the game after Jack Palacios scored 12 points in the third quarter and teammates Michael Surima, Lilio Tiples, and Warren Villegas each collaring 4 points a piece, 78-62.
Islander Rent A Car moved on to the final quarter of the game to hand the upset to the Old Aces by 29 points, 111-82.
