Joe Wabol outscores Demapan in RGA March qualifier

Demapan, an 11-handicapper improved in the back nines firing 2-over par 38 to net 67 from a gross of 78.

Wabol on the other hand, made the best use of his 24 handicap to trim his 91 gross down to 67 as well.

A scorecard playoff put Wabol’s final score 1.5 lower than Demapan’s.

Karl Hocog who started sharp with 3 strokes over par 39 in the front nine but struggled in the back nine shooting 42, eked out a net of 68 to place third.

Two-handicapper, Bae Yong Man birdied twice in the front nine shooting 3-under par 33 and finished 1 stroke under par 71 to net 69 for fourth place.

Making it to the top also, was Dwain Stephens who shot 5-over par 41 in the front and 10-over par 46 in the back nines to tie with Man.
