Koror meant business using all their might in drubbing their opponent, Angles, in the first set of action were the score stopped at 25 – 18 and continued on with the pounding and putting the ball to proper places in which their competitors could not recover to grab the second set to get a clean sweep of 2 sets to none. As a result of the retaliation and a win, Koror and KY-Angels are locked at first place with a 4 wins and 1 loss on team standings.
In other games, Ranchers had to win hard in three sets against a much younger team from Palau High School Spiders. Following an awesome game on the first set of their match with the Spiders with a score of 25 – 7, Ranchers gave the second set to Spiders due to unforced errors which led to the exciting and thrilling third set. Scores went back and forth on the early stages of the final set but as it progresses, Ranchers relied on their experience together with volleyball skills to beat the less exposed team of PHS – Spiders that ended up with a score of 25 – 23.To complete the team standings, PHS – Spiders are now with 2 wins 3 losses, while Penthouse has 1 win and 3 losses, then after winning Ranchers will get their first with a 1 win and 4 losses. Second round action resumes today where PHS – Spiders meets with Koror and Penthouse faces the KY – Angels.
