The Tan Siu Lin Foundation-Rep. Fred Deleon Guerrero-Rep. Ramon S. Basa Lions won 13-3, scoring their last run from Russel Hocog at the top of the sixth. They led 3-0 at the top of the first with Arthur Jebhen delivering an RBI double. Jebhen reached the home plate on a triple from Ricardo Dela Cruz, who scored another run via error.
Not even Time Deleon Guerrero’s 0-for-5 performance could stop him from bagging four runs, two base-on-balls, and a stolen base.
The Saint Michaels Medical Hunters snuck three runs from Patrick Aguon, Jerome Reyes, and Joseph Borja at the bottom of the third.
Lions’ pitchers Leroy Regis and Lamarc Iguel struck out five, allowing five hits. Vince Torres’ run-scoring single lifted the team, 8-3 by top of the fifth. Hocog completed his first run on an error.
Torres went 1-for-4 with one run and a single. Hocog and Iguel tallied two runs apiece. Jebhen, Regis, and Greg Iskawa each added one run.
The big division’s Hunters and Hustlers will square off in tonight’s game at 6 p.m.
