Little League awards top teams, players after long wait

The Ol’ Aces was earlier crowned as the Big League champions, with the Island-Apparel Kagman Mobil Station Hustlers and IT&E Fielders winning second and third, respectively. The JC Marketing-Toothworks Hunters received the sportsmanship award.

Ol’ Aces’ Eli Aughenbaugh clinched the championship MVP award while Natibu Sports Association Northern Star pitcher Joshua Jones bagged the regular season MVP trophy. Jones was also named the doubles, strikeout, and ERA champion.

Despite an upsetting loss to the Hustlers in Big League playoffs, the top-seeded Stars took home the pennant title. The Fielders settled for first runner-up with the second-best regular season win-loss record.

Among the Big League’s individual awardees were: Nokki Saralu (runs champ), Juan Maratita (RBI and home run champ), Jonathan Celis (batting, triples, and home run champ), Leonard Sablan (triples champ), and Jonakin Deleon Guerrero (home run champ).

The Tan Siu Lin Foundation-Rep. Fred Deleon Guerrero-Rep. Ramon Basa Kagman Lions ruled the Senior League’s championship. The Tan Siu Lin Foundation Fielders rallied next in second place, followed by third place winner CTS Ol’ Aces.

The championship and regular season MVP awards went to Lions’ Leeroy Regis and Carl Camacho, respectively.

The Senior League’s individual awardees consisted of: Carl Camacho (batting and ERA champ), Timothy Deleon Guerrero (runs champ), Greg Isikawa (doubles champ), Ricardo Dela Cruz (triples champ), Poland Masaharu (home run champ), Regis (strikeout champ), and Peter Lieto (RBI champ).

The Fielders outdid the Lions to clinch the pennant title. The sportsmanship award was given to the Rep. Rafael Demapan Heats.

In the Junior League’s playoffs last May, the IT&E Fielders downed the Martha Retail Store-BTS Program Survivors to win the finals.

Fielders’ Cody Kaipat secured the championship MVP trophy while Survivors’ Jeffrey Lizama won the regular season MVP award.

Lizama also won the batting, doubles, and RBI titles. His teammate, Jose Lizama Jr., took home a trophy for posting the most runs.

Aside from hitting the most triples, Fielders’ Ian Rogolifoi tied with Caleb Takao to win the home run title. Pitcher Frankie Lieto was named the strikeout champion.

The Fielders drew the best regular season record to win the pennant title.

Meanwhile, the Juan S. Tenorio Jets topped a 14-team pool to take both the pennant and majors division titles. The Bank of Saipan Red Sox won first-runner up in the playoffs, while the Tanapag Falcons won third place.

Benjamin Maratita received the finals MVP title and Cedric Camacho took home the regular season MVP title.

The Little League’s individual awardees were: Camacho (batting and triples champ), Craig Aguon (doubles champ), Juan Quitugua (home run champ), Roke Tenorio (home run champ), Henry Lizama (runs champ), and Erik Cruz (strikeout champ).

Maratita and Nathan, Jadrien, and Jonathan Camacho each tied for the best ERA.
