Lizama top pitching leaders as Ol’ Aces dominate Little League Majors Division

Lizama who threw the first no-hitter game for Ol’ Aces during the opening game last month hit a total of 38 strikes out.

The 2008 pitching champion, Lizama is playing his final season this year as Majors Division little-leaguer.

He is expected to join the Junior Division next year where, last year’s batting champion, Frank Camacho is now stunning everybody with his consistent base hits.

Lizama had 13 strikes out when he held Survivors scoreless last month at the Miguel Tange Basa Pangelinan Ball Field.

He averaged 16.2.

MJ Aldan of Little Falcons placed second averaging followed by Raymond Saralu of Hustlers averaging nine. Also making it to the pitching leaders are Jonathan Cabrera of Dragons; Justin Reyes of Enforcers; Keene Deleon Guerrero of Red Sox; Caleb Takao of Survivors and Melvin Sakisat of Twins.

Cabrera with 26 strike outs also trailed Lizama in the strike outs leaders. The other strike out leaders are Deleon Guerrero, 22; Justin Reyes, 22; Darion Jones of Twins, 13; Caleb Takao, 13; Aldan 13; Sakisat 12; Berneil Taisacan of IT&E, 12 and Perry Celis of Shell, 12.

Meanwhile, Joe Lizama Jr, of Jets dominated the stats in the most number of home runs, runs and RBIs.

He is the only Majors little-leaguers to garner nine RBIs; two home runs and eight runs.

Lizama is also among the five players who hit two doubles. The others are his team mate Franco Nakamura, Matthew Sablan of Enforcers, Logan Martin of Shell and Jonathan Cabrera of Dragons.

Caleb Takao of Survivors; Melvin Sakisat of Twins, Raymond Saralu of Hustlers and Paul Celis of Shell had two triples each.

Ol’ Aces was left alone in the top with three wins and no loss after Jets bowed to Red Sox last Saturday.

Trailing Jets in are UMDA Hustlers with two wins and one loss, the Dragons, two wins and one loss, and the Kagman Little Lions, two wins and one loss.
