THE TakeCare Youth Soccer League Spring 2026 season continued Saturday with high-octane action in the U14 girls division, highlighted by a dominant win, a nail-biter, and a dramatic draw at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
The highlight of the day saw MP United Football Club stage a late comeback to force a 5-5 draw against Kanoa Football Club.
MPU struck early, breaking through Kanoa’s defense as Miriam Flores found the back of the net within the first two minutes. Kanoa responded after settling in, with Neveah Arriola equalizing in the 14th minute, followed by Windsor Gross’ go-ahead goal in the 24th for a 2-1 lead.
The second half delivered the most action. Kanoa attempted to pull away early as Gross scored back-to-back goals in the 41st and 42nd minutes to complete her hat trick and extend the lead.
MPU, however, answered with consecutive goals from Victoria George in the 44th and 54th minutes, before Flores added another in the 63rd to tie the match at 4-4.
Late in the game, Gross struck again in the 70th minute to give Kanoa a 5-4 edge, but MPU quickly responded as George scored the equalizer just a minute later, completing her own hat trick and securing the 5-5 draw.
Other games
In another match, Latte Football Club remained unbeaten, earning its fifth straight win after defeating Matansa Football Club, 7-4.
Matansa scored all four of its goals in the first half, but Latte took control in the second half. Key goals from Talina Agion-McClure and Anica Aquino in the 74th and 75th minutes, respectively, created enough separation for the victory.
Meanwhile, Paire Football Club cruised to a commanding 16-0 win over Shirley’s Football Club.
