Marianas run-trips to be touted at Korea’s Inside Run W Festival

(MVA) — The Marianas’ Far From Ordinary attractions as a sports and adventure destination will be touted by the Marianas Visitors Authority at Inside Run W Festival beginning on Jan. 31 in Ilsan, South Korea. As the only tourism office participating in the event, MVA will highlight Saipan Marathon 2026, the destination’s nature, and other attractions that make the Marianas’ perfect for a “run-trip” combining running and travel.

Inside Run W is a large-scale indoor running festival organized by Runable, a comprehensive running platform in Korea that MVA has partnered with in the past for Saipan Marathon promotion. Designed to allow runners to enjoy the sport even during the winter season, the event on Jan. 31 & Feb. 1 at KINTEX will bring together indoor running races, exhibitions, and a variety of stage programs, creating a new-style indoor running festival.

Under the Far From Ordinary brand, MVA will highlight the upcoming 2026 Saipan Marathon on March 7 at its booth. Visitors will also be able to explore information on the Marianas’ scenic natural environment, runner-friendly courses, marathon participation details, and travel tips. Interactive on-site activities will further encourage communication and engagement with attendees.

“Running has become an integral part of today’s lifestyle, and it is meaningful for us to participate as the only tourism authority in a trend-leading running event like Inside Run W,” said MVA Marketing Manager Thomas Kim. “MVA will be the only tourism authority participating in this year’s event. This strategic move reflects our work to align with the growing trend of sports tourism that integrates running, travel, and lifestyle, while positioning the Marianas and our incredible nature as an active travel destination for the running community.”

Throughout the event, visitors can experience diverse programs such as a 10-kilometer indoor run, DJ performances, and talk sessions with running influencers. The venue will also serve as a complex cultural space where running-related brands and content come together to showcase the overall running lifestyle.

A signature event of MVA, Saipan Marathon 2026 is co-organized with Northern Marianas Athletics and is a certified measured course by World Athletics in cooperation with the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. With a new start and finish line at Paseo de Marianas in the main tourist district of Garapan, the marathon’s iconic Beach Road course is known for its gentle elevation changes and uninterrupted views of Saipan’s lagoon. Last year the marathon attracted over 600 registrants from 19 countries and territories. Interested participants may register at www.raceroster.com to experience the peaceful nature and relaxing island vibe of this scenic race in the western Pacific.
