(NMC) — As part of its commitment to education and community development in the CNMI, Marianas Pacific Distributors Inc. has contributed $5,000 in cash and in-kind donations to the Northern Marianas College Foundation as a Gold Sponsor of the upcoming NMC Golf Open, set for March 21 and 22, 2026.
“Marpac is proud to partner with Northern Marianas College in supporting the advancement of higher education in the CNMI,” said Guy Pudney, resident manager of Marpac. “Through initiatives like the NMC Golf Open, we can invest directly in programs and facilities that help students build the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to our local economy.”
The NMC Golf Open will be a two-day tournament held at LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort, with a registration fee of $250 per player.
“Community partnerships are at the heart of what makes this tournament successful,” said Ben Babauta, chairman of the NMC Foundation. “Marpac’s generosity strengthens our ability to enhance campus facilities, expand student support, and continue moving the college forward.”
The tournament, which is the signature fundraising event of the NMC Foundation, aims to raise funds to build and equip modern, innovative campus facilities that will help expand the CNMI’s workforce development efforts, stimulate economic growth, and provide greater access to quality education for residents of the islands.
