Martin, Kaipat trade grand slams, Saipal prevails

With Kuich Damian contributing a two-run double, Saipal prevailed to cling to this season’s Top 5 slots.

Cliffton Siliil led off a double, Hector Efraim and Payton Sakuma walked to load the bases before Martin hit the sky sharp enough to send them all to the home plate.

Kaipat was also heating up as blasted a three-run home run to help Hitz close-in during the bottom of the second inning.

Both teams unleashed their smoldering defense sending each other to lopsided games at-bat.

The Saipal sluggers however managed to inched their way forward with run-scoring single from Leo Bobai in the top of the fifth inning and finally the two-run double from JD Dikito in the top of the sixth.

A delayed retaliation to Martin’s grand slam came as Kaipat fired it in the bottom of the six sending Manny Cabrera, Lee Mokeya and Mario Fitial home.

Jason Hayes caught Monkeya’s fly ball and relief pitcher Payton Sakuma struck out Fitial and Saipal denied Hitz the chance to bounce back.

UR Balls 9, Lancheros 5

Frank Hocog knocked-in a two-run double to set the lead in the top of the second inning. Giovanni Ayuyu and John Paul Lizama had an RBI triple apiece and the UR Balls beat the Lancheros.

Ayuyu opened the game with a triple, Mike Taitano hit an RBI single and Joshua Arriola drove-in a run on a fielder’s choice.

After Hocog’s two-run double, the UR Balls had to endure straight scoreless four inning, while the Lancheros rallied in the  bottom of the sixth Bill Aguon hitting an RBI single and Dimas Omar knocking-in a two-run single.

The UR Balls came back when Ayuyu fired his second base hit-a run-scoring triple and Taitano drove him in with a sacrifice fly.

Chura 21, 6-Pack 1

Stanley Laniyo played perfect starting his game with an RBI single in the first, and finished it off with a three-run home run in the fourth inning for Chura’s 14-run mercy rule win over 6-Pack.

After Jess Iguel and Mek Sakisat’s run-scoring triple in the top of the second, Laniyo fired his second shot—a two-run home run to strengthen Chura.

The Chura sluggers showed no mercy in the third with Iguel hitting his third base hit, Sakisat his second and Laniyo his third.

Myron Sablan and George David also had an RBI single apiece to guarantee the victory.
