MHS Oakies overpowered Kimoichi in the first set with a score of 21-13, but somehow lost coordination in the second set after Kimoichi spikers stepped up on their offense.
Second set saw Kimoichi ruling the white sands of PIC, crafting 21 points over MHS Oakies’ 14 points.
Kegn Hall, Clark Boswell, Keoni Ichihara, and Jessica Uematsu tried to anticipate hard on their opponents’ move, thereby enabling them to save the ball several times on their side of the court.
Uematsu, Boswell, and Hall crafted good pass and eventually found opportunities to drop the ball on MHS Oakies.
However, MHS Oakies pulled themselves together in the third set by attacking the net at every opportunity they could get.
John Nekaifes and Typhoon Saito of MHS Oakies returned the ball with sharp volleys, pushing Kimoichi to the limit; unable to respond to their shots.
MHS Oakies claimed the third set, 21-14, eventually winning the game.
MHS Oakies now have three wins and four losses.
On other matches, MHS Peers trounced Champ-on, 22-20, 21-8, 19-22.
MHS Peers moved on with their fourth win in the league, while Champ-on added on to their fifth loss.
Thai One On hammered MHS Serves Up!, 21-5, 21-5, 15-21.
