PAIRE Football Club ended the Dove Women’s League Spring 2025 season as the masters division champion, shutting out Kanoa Football Club 4-0 on Sunday, May 4, at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
Paire’s players were simply too tough to guard as they used their consistency and relentlessness to control the pace of the entire match. After just six minutes of offensive and defensive pressure, Lindsay Davis broke through with the opening goal to give her team an early 1-0 lead.
Kanoa pushed for an equalizer but couldn’t find the back of the net, filling the rest of the first half with fast-paced, back-and-forth action. Still, they held firm defensively, keeping Paire from breaking through and staying within reach at halftime.
A halftime break seemed to be just what Paire needed, as they returned to the pitch stronger than ever. Resuming their role as the aggressor, they gradually broke through Kanoa’s weak side, creating scoring opportunities that were capitalized on by Shawna Brennfleck (35′), Natalie Hill-Beyer (40′), and Rachel Blue (45′). The trio’s goals stretched the lead, sealed a 4-0 victory, and secured the masters division title.
In second place was Matansa Football Club followed by Kanoa in third.
The Golden Boot went to Matansa’s Bunruang Brasuell, while the Golden Glove was awarded to Paire’s April Liske-Clark. Suah Roh of Latte Football Club received the Fair Play Award.
